ANALISIS DAYA PRODUKSI SUSU KERBAU MURRAH PADA SATU PERIODE LAKTASI DI BPTU-HPT SIBORONG-BORONG

Abstract
An assessment of milk production ability (Most Probable Producing Ability/MPPA) was carried out to predict the maximum potential of female buffalo based on their performance data. This research aims to determine the best milk production ability of Murrah buffalo during one lactation period. Data was obtained from 20 Murrah buffalo recorded during November to December 2024. Milk production was calculated using a standard of 30 days of lactation, two milkings per day, and equivalent adult age. Analysis shows a repeatability value of 0.38, with an MPPA range from 2047.37 kg to 2262.91 kg. Buffalo with certain codes, such as 1474 and 0087, show the highest potential for further development.
