PERAN SELF-ESTEEM TERHADAP PERILAKU CYBERBULLYING PADA DEWASA AWAL: MORAL DISENGAGEMENT SEBAGAI MODERATOR

Abstract
Kemajuan teknologi informasi telah memberikan dampak besar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk kemudahan berkomunikasi melalui media sosial. Media sosial membawa manfaat positif, namun juga memunculkan efek negatif, salah satunya adalah perilaku cyberbullying. Fenomena ini menjadi perhatian serius, terumata di kalangan generasi Z yang berada pada fase dewasa awal. Meski demikian, masih terdapat keterbatasan pemahaman mengenai faktor internal dan eksternal yang memengaruhi perilaku tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran self-esteem dan cyberbullying, dengam moral disengagement sebagai moderator. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan non-eksperimental dengan teknik pengambilan data purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan meliputi Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), Mechanism of Moral Disengagement (MMDS), dan Cyber Offending Scale (COS). Partisipan penelitian adalah dewasa awal dari generasi Z yang aktif menggunakan media sosial. Hasil analiis menunjukkan bahwa moral disengagement memoderasi hubungan self-esteem dan perilaku cyberbullying. Kontribusi moral disengagement sebagai moderator memperkuat cyberbullying. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa individu dengan moral disengagement tinggi cenderung terlibat dalam cyberbullying, terutama jika self-esteem mereka rendah. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting mengenai faktor psikologis yang mendorong perilaku cyberbullying, sekaligus menawarkan dasar intervensi yang berfokus pada peningkatan self-esteem dan pengurang moral disengagement.
