Abstract

Background: The increasing use of gadgets affects many aspects, including eye health issues, leading to reduced visual acuity and other eye disorders. This study employs a systematic review approach. In the initial search, 78 journal articles were identified from four major databases: PLOS One, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect, and PubMed. Out of five articles excluded from the final analysis, one did not present the primary outcome of eye health. Thus, the literature analysis was conducted on four studies that met the criteria. In this literature review, gadget use has a fairly variable impact on eye health and the incidence of eye diseases. The most affected aspect of eye health is the occurrence of dry eye syndrome.
