PERAN MIKROBIODATA USUS DALAM PATOGENESIS PENYAKIT PERADANGAN: TINJAUAN LITERATUR

Abstract

Usus adalah organ panjang dan berkelok-kelok yang merupakan bagian penting dari sistem pencernaan manusia. Bermula dari lambung, usus terbagi menjadi dua bagian utama ialah usus halus dan usus besar. Ketidakseimbangan dalam komposisi dan fungsi mikrobiota usus dapat memicu peradangan dan berkontribusi pada perkembangan berbagai penyakit peradangan, seperti penyakit radang usus (IBD), rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, penyakit hati berlemak non-alkohol (NAFLD), obesitas, dan diabetes tipe 2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami perubahan komposisi mikrobiota usus memengaruhi perkembangan penyakit peradangan serta menyelidiki mekanisme yang mendasari mikrobiota usus berkontribusi pada proses peradangan dalam tubuh. Metode yang dipakai ialah metode studi pustaka. Data dari berbagai sumber tertulis seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan laporan penelitian dianalisis untuk memahami secara mendalam topik penelitian. Temuannya ialah mikrobiota usus dapat berkontribusi pada patogenesis penyakit peradangan melalui beberapa mekanisme, termasuk peningkatan permeabilitas usus (leaky gut), produksi sitokin pro-inflamasi, aktivasi inflammasome, produksi metabolit berbahaya, dan interaksi dengan sistem imun.
