PENGARUH STRES FINANSIAL TERHADAP PRESTASI AKADEMIK MAHASISWA DI SURABAYA

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan secara empiris pengaruh stres finansial terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa di Surabaya. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode analisis regresi linear berganda, penelitian ini melibatkan 125 responden mahasiswa. Stres finansial diukur melalui lima proksi utama yaitu masalah uang saku, tekanan biaya kuliah, beban biaya hidup, kesulitan keuangan keluarga, dan tekanan biaya tambahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masalah uang saku, tekanan biaya kuliah, kesulitan keuangan keluarga, dan tekanan biaya tambahan memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik. Sebaliknya, beban biaya hidup tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Stres finansial terbukti menjadi faktor utama yang mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa untuk berkonsentrasi, yang pada akhirnya berdampak pada prestasi akademik. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya literasi keuangan dan dukungan finansial untuk membantu mahasiswa mengelola tekanan finansial, sehingga dapat meningkatkan fokus belajar dan kinerja akademik mereka.
