PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PROYEK BERBANTUAN MEDIA VIDEO BREAKING NEWS TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPLANASI

Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh minimnya penyajian media pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia serta peserta didik sulit untuk menuangkan ide dalam sebuah tulisan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana model pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dibantu oleh video berita terkini berdampak pada siswa dan untuk menentukan perbedaan dalam kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada materi teks eksplanasi pada 42 siswa di kelas eksperimen IX-1 dan 40 siswa di kelas kontrol IX-6. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan metode eksperimen True Experimental Design. Posttest pada akhir pembelajaran di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol adalah alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada kemampuan peserta didik kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Parung untuk menulis teks eksplanasi. Nilai rata-rata untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 85.00 dan kelas kontrol adalah 62,40. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai signifikansi hasil uji hipotesis dengan taraf Sig. (2-tailet) sebesar 0,000, < 0,05, sesuai dengan dasar pengambilan keputusan bahwa apabila nilai sig. (2-tailed) kurang dari 0,05, maka kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda secara signifikan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berbantuan media video breaking news pada materi teks eksplanasi dan dapat digunakan untuk peserta didik di kelas IX.
This research is motivated by the lack of Indonesian language learning media presentation and students' difficulty in expressing ideas in writing. The purpose of this study is to find out how the project-based learning model assisted by current news videos impacts students and to determine the differences in students' ability to write explanatory texts. This study was conducted on explanatory text material on 42 students in the experimental class IX-1 and 40 students in the control class IX-6. This quantitative research used the experimental method of True Experimental Design. Posttest at the end of learning in experimental and control classes is the tool used to collect data. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the ability of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Parung to write explanatory texts. The average score for the experimental class was 85.00 and the control class was 62.40. This is evidenced by the significance value of the hypothesis test results with a level of Sig. (2-tailed) level of 0.000, <0.05, in accordance with the basis for decision making that if the sig. (2-tailed) is less than 0.05, then the experimental class and control class are significantly different. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the project-based learning model assisted by breaking news video media on explanatory text material and can be used for students in grade IX.
