MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SD MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI SOSIAL DALAM IPS

Abstract
This article aims to analyze the influence of the Social Inquiry learning model on improving elementary students' critical thinking skills in social studies subjects. The method used is literature study, with data obtained from books, scientific journals and articles published on Google Scholar. The results of the analysis show that the Social Inquiry learning model has great potential in improving students' critical thinking skills. This model encourages students to be actively involved in the learning process through inquiry, exploration, and data collection to find answers to their own questions. Social Inquiry helps students develop analytical, evaluation, problem solving, communication and learning motivation skills. Social studies learning aims to solve problems in everyday life which can foster students' critical thinking skills, so that students can apply them to everyday life.
Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Inkuiri Sosial terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SD dalam mata pelajaran IPS. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka, dengan data diperoleh dari buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan artikel yang dipublikasikan di Google Scholar. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Inkuiri Sosial memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Model ini mendorong siswa untuk aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar melalui penyelidikan, eksplorasi, dan pengumpulan data untuk menemukan jawaban atas pertanyaan mereka sendiri. Inkuiri Sosial membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, pemecahan masalah, komunikasi, dan motivasi belajar. Pembelajaran IPS bertujuan memecahkan suatu permasalahan pada kehidupan sehari-hari yang dapat menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, sehingga siswa dapat mengaplikasikannya pada kehidupan sehari-hari.
