PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MEMBENTUK KESADARAN SOSIAL DAN KEPEDULIAN TERHADAP LINGKUNGAN

Abstract

Kesadaran lingkungan dan keberlanjutan telah menjadi isu global yang krusial, sehingga memerlukan pendekatan pendidikan yang inovatif. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam pendidikan lingkungan, dengan fokus pada bagaimana Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berkontribusi dalam membentuk kesadaran sosial dan tanggung jawab lingkungan siswa. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan analisis konten dan studi kasus untuk mengkaji kurikulum PAI, buku teks, kebijakan pendidikan, dan sumber daya digital dari sekolah-sekolah Islam di Indonesia. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa meskipun ajaran Islam secara inheren mempromosikan pengelolaan ekologi melalui konsep-konsep seperti khalifah (pengelolaan), mīzān (keseimbangan), dan amanah (tanggung jawab), integrasinya ke dalam pendidikan formal masih terbatas. Sekolah-sekolah yang telah mengadopsi pendidikan eko-Islam menunjukkan tingkat kesadaran lingkungan yang lebih tinggi di antara siswa, namun tantangan tetap ada, termasuk kurangnya kurikulum terstruktur, pelatihan pendidik yang tidak memadai, dan dukungan kebijakan yang terbatas. Penelitian ini menyoroti perlunya model pendidikan holistik yang secara teratur menggabungkan etika lingkungan Islam, peningkatan pelatihan guru, dan kolaborasi antara sekolah Islam, organisasi lingkungan, dan lembaga keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi potensi pendidikan keberlanjutan berbasis Islam dalam membina pemuda Muslim yang sadar lingkungan, memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan kebijakan dan reformasi kurikulum untuk memperkuat peran pendidikan Islam dalam keberlanjutan lingkungan.
